In love

I just got to know the most charming Etsy shop! You have to see the lovely things it has!
It's called The Royal Mint and the girl is also from Montreal, how cool is that?! Check out some of the things she makes:

So, so lovely and cute :) One of the best things: I am on the same etsy team as her so I'll get to play with her items, well, on my treasuries at least ;)

:)

Hello Dala Postcard by Seventy Tree

Hi there!! I hope you are very well and excited because it's Friday, yay!!

I've been so busy with the little one lately, her terrible 2's are kicking in, stronger by the minute and everyday is harder for me to concentrate on things, that's why you haven't see me around as often. But all is good, I'm happy she's so full of life and energy :D A bit tired, but happy, hehehehe.

Thank you all for you lovely comments on my latest posts, It makes me so happy to know you like the things I publish :D

Ok, just wanted to say hi and wish you all a lovely weekend :) I hope to see you next week!

Hugs :)

The first day of spring

Looked more like winter.

It was beautiful though.

Mother nature was playing tricks on us. She let us believe we could start tossing out our winter boots and coats because Sunday was so sunny, warm and lovely and then Monday was like, what the hell is going on?! it snowed the whole day and it did not look like spring at all. It was like a perfect winter day. We even went out to play in the snow. My little one was sliding down on it and I was trying to make a snow man but couldn't because she would come and toss the snow balls away, hehehehe. It was fun :)

I hope is nice where you live and that you are enjoying the first days of spring :)

Thrifting!

Hi there! How are you? So many days have passed since the last time I say hi :) I hope everything is well with you and that your weekend was great!

I have some photos to share with you from Saturday. I went with my friends to an antique market and we found some very cool stuff, specially jewellery! as the three of us are jewellers that was the thing we cared the most ;) hehehe

Why did I closed my eyes so freaking tight?! Ugh.

Favourite part of the trip: Antique brass rings! Thanks for taking us there Louise!

Silly girls: Marie and Louise.
(Check out their etsy shops here: MarKhed and Louise Koo both are awesome jewellers!)
Thank so much for stopping by! Have a great week!!

I'm delighted, the illustration is beautiful.

How are you doing? I hope really well :) All is good over here. Today is rainy, but the temperatures are on the rise and that's super good news :) I'm so looking forward to spring!

Life

Days come and go, we laugh, we dream, we love, we live and most of the time life appears to be a strong, solid thing.

Then, things happen, nature does its thing and suddenly I remember how truly fragile and absolutely precious life is.

I feel very sad for what happened in Japan. The images are so scary, the magnitude of the disaster so big, so many lives lost. People who laughed, who dream, who loved.

I guess that, if something good can be pulled out from tragedy, is the realization of how wonderful life is and how important is to live and enjoy the simplest of things. To enjoy every minute, every day and be thankful to be so fortunate for just being here, today.

I decided to put in good use my Refuge/Home necklace. From now on, every time I sell one of this necklaces, all the proceeds are going to be donated to help others in need. For the moment, I'll donate the money to the Red Cross on its efforts to help the people in Japan.
I'm glad to announce that as I sold one yesterday, our first donation -your first donation- is going to be soon on its way.

Thank you!

Light, youth and nature

Some images that make my mind wander.

It's very gross outside, too much slushy snow in the floor for my liking but regardless, I'm hopeful for the weekend :)

I wish you all have a great weekend! See you around :)

Then and now...

Came across this amazing photography series called BACK TO THE FUTURE by Irina Werning while visiting Les Zigouis blog. I definitely had to share it with you because I found it amazing, truly charming and funny:

The photographer says: 'Most of us are fascinated by their retro look but to me, it’s imagining how people would feel and look like if they were to reenact them today... A few months ago, I decided to actually do this. So, with my camera, I started inviting people to go back to their future.'

I'm thinking of a couple of photographs from my childhood, so dear to me I'd love to reenact today. Wouldn't it be fun? very silly and very fun :)
Oh, the memories...

Amazing things for the little ones

There's nothing better that children stuff :)

1.-Crown and loot pail set by Pi'lo 2.-Little cloud cushion by Poppy & Ted 3.-Farmhouse memory match game by Bug & Bird 4.-Black cat print dress by Leah Goren 5.-Reversible scarf by Anna's Camping 6.-Felt Gyoza dinner AK by Go Buggy 7-8.-Sienna by Silpli Jessi

Do you believe in luck?

Good luck card by DEADWEIGHT

Most of times I don't think about luck. Then again, there are days where this strange thing called "luck" it's so good i can't help but think: 'I'm so lucky today!'. Of course, once in a while comes the day where I think: 'WTF, today's such an unlucky day!'

The past weekend was sort of unlucky. Sort of.
I got sick, then the weather was so angry it wasn't fun as I had to head outside to do some stuff. Husband was out of town skiing and having a good time in Colorado and I forgot to put my keys on my purse :S So I was all freaked out, soaking wet in the rain, with a hungry Amelia and waiting for the guy-who-opens-doors to come and help me and it was so painful to pay the money I payed for a thing that took him 2 minutes to complete! (I don't know the name of the people who make keys and open doors...?). Oh, did I mention that when I realized i had forgot my keys inside I also realized my cell phone was dead, no battery whatsoever? I wanted to scream in frustration.

Then my computer decided not to function for four freaking days :S

...

It was weird, I was like: 'What is happening to me?' But I guess I was lucky enough to have one of my best friends with me for the weekend and that was the only thing that kept me sane. Well, I also had to give some credit to my little one who was so sweet and well behaved ;)

I guess it wasn't that bad :)

And that's why you haven't see me around lately, if you wondered. Yesterday husband came back home and with a simple take-the-battery-off-put-it-back-again of the laptop, it magically worked again. Really. I guess technology and me, we just don't come along too well.

:S

But enough with this! I just wanted to take it out of my chest. I hope I did not scare you away!
If I didn't, thanks so much for reading through my whining :)

So, do you believe in luck?

Buttons and Ribbon

I've been neglecting my blog so much lately but today I'm back!

This week has been really great because I now have my new collection on the shop and couldn't be happier about your awesome response, comments and hearts, I'm so glad you like it!
I'm still trying to finish a couple more new things and I hope to have them on the shop soon :)

Here is the collection for those who haven't seen it yet:

I wanted to give a vintage, worn out feel to those pieces, so they look even more homey and lovely, like a little treasure you'll find on a thrift store or and old house.
The inspiration behind this pieces is my love for homey objects, specially those who mean special things to me like buttons, which I found so pretty, lovely and I like to collect them and use them every time I can. I thought it'll be awesome to wear a special button all the time that reminds me of those lazy afternoons at home sewing a toy for Amelia or my little keepsake bags which I give to my costumers as a gift.

An then there is the banner, I'm obsessed with banners lately and I love ribbon so much. So that was my interpretation of those objects and my attempt to transform them into a piece of jewelry. I think I succeeded, right? ;)

Oh yeah, the spoon! well, I made this first a long ago as a request from my friend Maribel who, like me, adores food (specially sweet stuff) and cooking and this little spoon represented that part of her personality and likes. I know there are lots like Maribel and I out there, so my Spoon Necklace is for all those foodies!

Please come to The Angry Weather and check the collection in detail! All the items on my new line are ready to ship!

Thank you and have a great weekend!!!
